3-Time World Champ!

World Champ

Spencer Lee (Sr.) claimed his 2nd consecutive Jr. World Freestyle Wrestling (50kg) championship today in Macon, France.  He was also a cadet freestyle champion in 2014, making this his third consecutive world title overall.  Spencer rolled to the championship match in dominating fashion, winning four matches by tech fall, pin, tech fall, and tech fall.  The gold medal match would see him take on Khurshid Parpiev of Kyrgyzstan.  The match was full of ups and downs and Spencer would find himself down 8-3 late in the final period.  In true championship form, Spencer roared back to win the gold medal 11-9.  Way to go Spencer!  We are all proud of you!
