2015 Winter Sports Physicals
Mark your calendars for Winter Sport Physicals  
They will be held Wednesday October 21

We are asking all students who will be attending these physicals to sign up by September 17th in order to secure enough staffing to run physicals efficiently. You may sign up by clicking the link below or  sign up at the Middle School Nurse or  Athletic Office.  (Signing up does not secure a time slot, it is simply for planning purposes for staffing).



World Gold

Spencer Lee claimed gold at the UWW Junior World Freestyle Wrestling Championship on 8/15/15 in Salvador, Brazil.  Spencer claimed the 50kg title in dominating fashion by earning a technical fall over each of his opponents.  His total score on the day was an astounding 54-4.  Spencer won the gold medal match in a mere 48 seconds.

Fall Sports 2015

The Fall sports season will soon be here.  For a list of teams with their start dates and other important information please click below.  Remember that all student-athletes will need to have a completed PIAA physical on file with the athletic office prior to the first official day of their respective sports.

Student Activity Fee

Reminder: All students in grades 7-12 that plan to participate in interscholastic sports need to pay the student activity fee.  For complete information click on the student activity fee link. 


Spencer Lee - U.S. Junior Freestyle Champion

Congratulations to our own Spencer Lee who won the U.S. Junior Freestyle Championship in dominant fashion.  He will now represent the U.S. at the world championships which will be held in August in Brazil.  Spencer captured the world championship at the Cadet level this past summer.

Franklin Regional Student-Athletes in grades 7-12 can compete in 14 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association(PIAA) recognized sports.

District 7, better known as the WPIAL(Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League), is 1 of 12 districts governed by the Constitution and By-Laws of the PIAA.

Competing in the WPIAL, boys & girls from Franklin Regional compete against students from 143 districts in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Washington, Westmoreland, & other surrounding counties.
