Jim Rossi
Athletic Trainer

Jim Rossi began his career at Allegheny Health Network in 1997. Shortly after his hire, he began working at FR.  He earned two Bachelor of Science degrees(Athletic Training, Psychology) from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997. He is an active member of Pennsylvania's Athletic Training Society and the National Athletic Training Association.

Suzanne Robbins
 Athletic Trainer

Suzanne Robbins began working for Allegheny Health Network in the summer of 2007. She began her career at FR that Fall. She received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Kent State University in May 2006. She continued her education at California University of Pennsylvania, receiving her Masters degree in Health & Rehabilitative Science in December 2007. While studying at Cal U, she interned at Saint Vincent College, in Latrobe. 

Lauren Colosimo
 Athletic Trainer

Lauren Colosimo began working for Allegheny Health Network in the summer of 2013, she joined the staff at FR in January 2015.  She received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in May of 2006. Lauren continued her education receiving two masters’ degrees from California University of Pennsylvania, in Health and Rehabilitative Science in May of 2008, as well as Athletic Administration in June of 2012.


Allegheny Health Network now offers same day appointments with specialists if you call before 11 am. 
Franklin Regional's Team Physicians see patients in Monroeville and Murrysville.

Gregory T. Altman, MD, FACS
Team Orthopaedic Physician

Dr. Gregory Altman is a  Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University School of Medicine at the Allegheny General Hospital Campus.   He serves as Vice Chairman of the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Along with his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Altman has maintained an active research career, which has resulted in a number of publications in professional journals, including Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, The Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.  He has authored multiple book chapters and presented at numerous National and International meetings.   He continues to be active academically, training residents and fellows in the areas of orthopedic surgery, trauma, and sports medicine. 

Dr. Altman received his undergraduate degree from the University Of Pittsburgh and graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1991.  He completed a Fellowship at the University of Rochester, New York in Sports Medicine.  After his Fellowship at the University of Rochester, he served as a Clinical Fellow and Instructor in Orthopaedic Trauma at Harvard Medical School/The Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.   Prior to his appointment at Allegheny General Hospital, he was the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Dr. Altman is a member of numerous medical societies and committees.  These include the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the Pan American Trauma Society.  He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He has a home office at Allegheny General Hospital, as well as satellite offices in Monroeville and Murrysville.  He is a team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates, as well as several high schools in the region.  He resides in the Monroeville area with his wife Rena and their two children.

Joe Dougherty, MD
Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician/Concussion Advisor

Dr. Joe Dougherty is a native of Pittsburgh, growing up in the North Hills and graduating from Hampton High School. He received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University and his master of science in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan. After working for a few years in orthopaedic research, he attended medical school at West Virginia University. He completed his residency in family medicine at UPMC-St. Margaret and a sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.

Dr. Dougherty splits his time between Allegheny Health Network Sports Medicine and the Forbes Family Medicine residency.  At AHN Sports Medicine, he sees a wide array of sports injuries and musculoskeletal issues. He sees patients at AHN locations in both Murrysville and Monroeville.  He is a team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates  In addition, he is the director of sports medicine education at the Forbes Family Medicine residency program.
