Substitute Information

Day-to-Day Substitute Teaching Positions:

Any person who currently holds a valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate may apply to be included on our day-to-day substitute teacher list. Teacher substitute rate of pay is $100 a day for the first 30 days in the district, and $110 a day thereafter. Please submit the substitute teaching application, the Act 34 Clearance Form, the Act 151 Clearance Form, a signed PDE Form 6004 of Act 24, fingerprint information, a copy of your valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate, a copy of your current Act 48 status, New Hire Reporting Form, Payroll Forms, Employment Eligibility Form, valid copies of your Pennsylvania Driver’s License and Social Security card or a copy of your Passport, and a physical form with evidence of a TB test. Substitute Handbook

The Franklin Regional School District uses the Substitute Call Service of AESOP to fill all of our professional vacancies. Upon Board Approval, each day-to-day substitute teacher will be given his or her own personal AESOP identification number.

Non-Professional Substitute Positions:

Applications for non-professional positions are accepted at any time during the year. For all support position substitute applicants (playground aide, greeter, instructional aide, special education aide, secretary). Applicants for all substitute support positions will also need to submit the Act 34 Clearance Form, the Act 151 Clearance Form, fingerprint information, a physical form with evidence of a TB test, a signed PDE Form 6004 of Act 24, Employment Eligibility Form and valid copies of your Pennsylvania Driver’s License and Social Security Card or a copy of your Passport to Colleen Horn, Human Resources Department, 3210 School Road, Murrysville, PA 15668.

Substitute Teacher Aide Handbook

The current substitute aide pay rates are as follows:

· Substitute Secretary-$8.60/hr

· Substitute Aide- $8.60/hr

· Substitute Greeter- $8.40/hr

· Substitute Health Room Assistant (must have active RN License)- $10.75/hr

· Substitute Health Room Screenings (must have active RN License) - $15.60/hr
