March Math Madness
March 14, 2012 (Pi Day!)
The students at Sloan Elementary recently participated in March Math Madness, an evening of problem solving fun. The students were randomly assigned to a team. With a grown-up partner, they completed grade level problems that were worth 5, 10, or 20 points based on each problem's difficulty level. The points for each team were tallied and a winning team was announced based on the team's average score. In addition, students had a chance to win a prize at the prize auction. Special thanks to the parents, teachers, and custodians who helped out and supported March Math Madness in any way. We couldn't have done it without you. Everyone thought it was the perfect way to celebrate "Pi Day"!
