Fourth and Fifth Grade Curriculum
In addition to incorporating technology into regular classroom units of instruction, fourth and fifth grade students receive the following computer instruction as a special class, once per week for one semester.
Keyboard Awareness - Emphasis is on proper posture, technique and memorizing the home row keys, space bar, enter, and shift keys. Using the software "UltraKey", students progress through the program at their own rate, learning new keys and increasing their speed and accuracy.
